Apex Workouts

Privacy Policy

The short version: Apex Workouts is 100% private by design. Everything stays on your device. We collect no personal data, use no analytics, serve no ads, and connect to no external servers. Your fitness data is yours alone.

Apex Workouts is a fitness application built with a privacy-first philosophy. The app operates entirely on your device and does not transmit, collect, or share any of your personal information with us or any third party. This policy explains exactly what that means in practice.

The simple answer: none.

Apex Workouts does not collect any personal data. We have no servers, no databases, no user accounts, and no way to identify you. Specifically:

• No personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, device ID)

• No fitness or health data leaves your device

• No location data

• No usage statistics or behavioral analytics

• No crash reports or diagnostic data sent to us

• No cookies or tracking technologies

All data generated by Apex Workouts --- including your workouts, goals, body metrics, personal records, and preferences --- is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's secure on-device storage.

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, iOS may back up local app data as part of your standard iCloud backup. This backup is managed entirely by Apple under their own privacy policy and is encrypted end-to-end. Apex Workouts has no access to your iCloud data.

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted from your device.

Apex Workouts integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and write workout and health data. This integration works as follows:

• All HealthKit data is accessed and processed entirely on your device

• We do not transmit HealthKit data to any external server

• You control which data categories Apex Workouts can access through iOS permissions

• You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in the iOS Settings app under Health > Apps

Apple's HealthKit framework enforces strict privacy controls, and Apex Workouts complies fully with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

Apex Workouts includes Axel, an AI fitness motivator powered by Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework (Apple Intelligence). Key facts about Axel:

• All AI processing runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device machine learning models

• No data is sent to external AI services, cloud APIs, or third-party AI providers

• Axel does not learn or adapt in a way that transmits information off-device

• Conversations or interactions with Axel are not stored or logged beyond the current session unless explicitly saved by you as part of a workout

Because Axel runs on Apple's Foundation Models, it is subject to Apple's AI and privacy policies for on-device machine learning.

Apex Workouts does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data-sharing services. There are no SDKs or frameworks embedded in the app that collect or transmit your data.

The exercise library included in Apex Workouts is bundled directly within the app. It is fully offline, requires no external connections, and does not involve any personal data.

Apex Workouts contains no advertising. We do not work with advertising networks, do not track you for advertising purposes, and do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

Apex Workouts does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected, the app does not present special risks with respect to children's data under COPPA or similar regulations. However, the app is intended for users aged 13 and older.

Because Apex Workouts collects no personal data, there is no data held by us that can be accessed, corrected, exported, or deleted. All data relevant to your use of the app resides on your device, under your full control.

To manage or delete your app data:

• Delete the app from your iPhone to remove all locally stored Apex Workouts data

• Manage HealthKit permissions via Settings > Health > Apps > Apex Workouts

• Manage iCloud backup via Settings > [your name] > iCloud

Apex Workouts is designed for users in the European Union and complies with applicable EU privacy regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because no personal data is collected, processed, or stored by us, we act neither as a data controller nor a data processor with respect to your personal information.

The app is also developed in alignment with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), implementing accessibility standards for iOS applications.

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the effective date at the top of this document. If any future version of Apex Workouts introduces data collection (which we do not currently plan), we will update this policy in advance and communicate the changes clearly within the app.
